Really like the look of the sandal, but I had to return because the crisscross was designed wrong– it seems like the cross straps are of equal length, which makes the sandal tight across the ball of the foot, and loose closer to the arch (made worse when taking a step because the front digs in and the mid foot bows outward). My feet are just barely considered wide, and I have a high arch, so maybe this just doesn’t work for my feet.

I really wanted to love these. I’d been admiring them for a while and like the Madewell style. I tried a 7 and 7.5. I’m a slightly wide 7 so for sandals- factoring in some foot swelling with warm weather- a 7.5 typically works better. The 7 actually was just wide enough but my toes hit right at the end of the sandal, borderline too short. The 7.5 fit well length and width. But the leather was stiff and felt cheap. It started to rub the outer sides of my foot after I walked around the house for 15 minutes. Weirdly the more I walked the worse the shoe fit until it didn’t stay on my feet well. The leather also didn’t seem to soften with time so I returned both.

Sadly, these were uncomfortable – the footbed felt strange with the cork underneath- and they were not that cute. Disappointed so back they went.

Very nice looking and high quality – sadly, my foot would not slide all the way in – too narrow. I do have a wide foot but normally wear a medium width.
