Cute mini backpack but the zippers stick constantly! They’ve gotten a little better after use but still not smooth to open and close the bag, especially given the price. It does fit more than you think and worked well for my 3-day outdoor music festival.

Lovely leather that is already getting softer, a month after purchase. I agree that the zippers are very rough, but I think that’s because of the leather strips that cover them. I simply folded the leather up so that the zippers are exposed all the time, and I also rubbed a bit of pencil led on the teeth, both of which helped a great deal; I find the zippers work perfectly fine now, they just feel sturdy. The only thing is the buckles that attach the bottom of the straps to the bag are awkwardly placed and I can feel them against my back. It doesn’t hurt, but I also don’t over-fill my bag with heavy items. If you want to use this to carry heavy things, this might not be the best for you. Overall, recommend.

I’ve bought a lot of Madewell bags but this one has superior leather. Scratches rub out easily and the leather is soft, and worn in looking, with a subtle sheen. The zipper is a total pain at first but it gets better after a few uses.

Don’t buy this bag from zappos! The leather is different from what you would get from madewell’s official store or website, and if you look closely even the photos on the product pages form madewell and zappos are different. Although I don’t think zappos is selling fake bags, i can’t understand why the ldifference exists. very frustrating i am returning this bag immediately.
