I ordered a 30 and was sent a 31. Way too big! disapointed too cause I normally like Madewell.

These are cute and made well (hence the name). But the sizing on the white jeans is SO different than their other jeans. In their other jeans, I wear a 29. In these, the 30 is too tight and the 31 is too big. So had to return

I did size up one size for extra comfort. No see thru, very nice material.

A little long for my liking and the seams were on the outside of the leg which I didn’t care for. Returned.

I’ve only just discovered Madewell jeans this year but I’m finding them to be pretty reliable with fit and quality, something that most other brands are lacking. I also love that when they say “high-rise”, they mean it! I bought these and a pair of supposedly high-rise Levi’s which both indicated a 10” rise in the details, but the rise on these is at my true waist, where it should be, and the Levi’s don’t even come up to my belly button. Now, because these are white, the overall fit is a bit more snug than I’d hoped, even for skinny jeans. But I’m afraid if I go up a size the waist will be too big, so I’m just going to assume that they will stretch with wear, like every other pair of white jeans I own. For that reason I’d recommend getting your true size. They were also stiff upon try-on, but I’m hopeful a wash and run thru the dryer will help that. The clincher for me is that there is almost zero show-thru, which is miraculous for white jeans, so that right there wins them a million bonus points.
